The service
Digital Descendant lets you keep a private plan of your accounts, devices and wishes, and print a letter for your executor. It is general information and a writing tool. It is not legal, financial or tax advice, it is not a will, and it gives no one legal authority.
No secrets
You agree not to store passwords, PINs, unlock codes, recovery phrases, security answers, card numbers or identity numbers in a plan. The site tries to refuse them, but no check is perfect: what you type is your responsibility.
Your private links
Your owner link opens and changes your plan. If you lose it, we cannot recover it, and you cannot edit the plan. An existing executor link can still open the read-only letter until it is revoked. Anyone holding either link can use it, so keep both private.
How long plans are kept
A plan not opened for 1095 days (about three years) by its owner or executor link is deleted unless it has an active paid Keeper period. This rule also applies during the free preview. A printed letter is a snapshot; print a new copy after changes. You can delete a plan from the live database yourself; encrypted copies may remain in backups as described in our privacy policy.
Prices and payment
Keeper costs $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year and renews until cancelled; Letter Week costs $1.00 once for 7 days. During the preview payments are switched off and every feature is free; nothing is charged. PayPal is planned for payments when checkout opens.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or that a service's legacy process described here has not changed. Check the source links.
